Summer Reading Kickoff Event – STEM Makerfest
June 10th, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join us for the Dover Public Library’s Annual STEM Makerfest! Participants will enjoy a variety of hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities and demonstrations provided by local Delaware organizations! This event is for all ages, so bring the whole family! No registration required.

How to register:

Registration for the Dover Public Library’s Summer Reading Program begins on June 10th and can be done online by visiting or at one of the library’s Reference Desks. Participants can register as individuals, or the whole family can be signed up under one account holder, making it easier to manage everyone’s reading logs.

How the Summer Reading Program works:
Participate in the Dover Public Library’s Summer Reading Program for a chance to win prizes!

Ages 0-12
Children log the minutes they’ve read or have an adult read to them. For every 10 hours read, they receive a free book and a raffle entry for a prize. There is a different fun prize each week!
Ages 13-19:
Teens read and log the books they’ve read. For every book read, teens are entered into a raffle to win $10 in Comic Con bucks, which can be spent at any of the 125 vendors at Dover Comic Con on Saturday, August 19th!
Ages 19+:
Adults read and log the books they’ve read. Every book read is an entry for a raffle prize, which includes a variety of gift certificates!
Raffle winners are picked each Monday. The more you read, the greater your chances of winning!
For more information, please call the library at 302-736-7030.
