Winter Reading Challenge

2022 Winter Reading Challenge

From January 8 to March 19, Dover Public Library is participating in Beanstack’s Fifth Annual Winter Reading Challenge, sponsored by Lerner Publishing Group. “Read for a Better World” encourages readers of all ages to explore diversity, empathy, and action through literature. Our community has unlimited access to Lerner’s “Read for a Better World” themed books for the month of January through the challenge activities!

Thousands of libraries and schools across the nation are encouraging their communities to read a target number of minutes and books. Top-performing libraries and schools will earn prizes from Lerner Publishing Group, including book collections, signed books, and virtual author visits. Patrons will also be eligible to win prizes from the Dover Public Library.

How the Winter Reading Challenge Works

Sign up for the 2022 Winter Reading Challenge online at doverlibrary.beanstack.org.

Children (0-12 years old) read, or have an adult read to them, for 10 hours.

Teens (13-17) and adults (18 and over) read a book, any book, in any format.

Log your family’s reading online and be entered for a raffle prize.

The more you read, the greater your chances of winning!
