American Girl Dolls

The Dover Public Library has American Girl Doll backpacks available through our Library of Things collection. Each doll is a modern reinterpretation of the classic characters. Each backpack includes a 14.5 inch doll, accessories, a traveling journal, and book about the doll.

What are the checkout rules for the American Girl Doll backpacks?
The American Girl Doll backpacks are part of a walk-in collection and cannot be placed on hold. Patrons are allowed to checkout one backpack per family. Backpacks may be checked out for one week at a time. Doll backpacks cannot be renewed. Search the catalog to see which doll backpacks are currently available.

What happens if something is missing or damaged?
If the backpack is missing accessories, clothing, or other pieces, the last borrower will be contacted in an effort to retrieve the missing parts. If the parts can’t be located or dolls and/or their accessories are irreparably damaged, the patron will be charged a replacement fee.

Doll – $90
Clothing – Case-by-case
Doll carrier backpack – $40
Book – $10
